Katie Pam Knits

I'm a thirty-something that recently learned how to knit. I've also just recently learned how to crochet, but haven't crocheted anything yet. I share my home with two cats, Teddy and Lizzie. Teddy is very easy going, but Lizzie is a little crazy and chases her tail so she might be on sedatives soon.

Giving Props

I want to give some credit where some credit is due.

First to my mom, she knitted/crocheted my sister and I some ponchos with matching headwraps when we were little. Looking back, they're pretty bad but only because they were brown, orange and yellow, but the head wraps had spirals hanging off the back, and I love them for that; I think we lived in them. Mom taught me how to crochet on our recent trip to Mexico, so soon, I'll have granny squares all over the place!

Secondly, to Mary Johnson. Mary is a wonderful person and awesome actress here in the Chicagoland area. If you have a chance to cast her, please do so, you won't regret it. She puts in her day's work, she's patient and understanding and she's a walking encyclopedia which is very useful if doing a period piece! Anyhow, Mary taught me how to knit, like closing day, maybe even during strike, of the last show that I stage managed. She did such a good job, that I'm now on my third project, with three in the wings.
